Using our code, our partner in Europe has also built and deployed a 12,000 seat customized portal for the second largest company in Portugal. GalpEnergia was formerly a state owned oil company. When they were privatized they went to Methodus to develop a portal for their organization’s 12,000 employees.
This service was built by leveraging Webauthor’s extensive code library of standard portal modules. In addition, a custom module was built that allowed for translation into Portuguese (or any other language). The unique aspect of this module is that non-technical staff handled the translation. In a matter of a few part-time weeks the site was available in Portuguese. The site was also translated into Dutch and French. At the end of the day two employees sitting side by side would can the same portal – but in their own native language.
